FREE 6'4, 215lbs. D man with a killer slap shot and totally no value in the NHL...
Whoda thunk it?
He's making $ 1.57M. |

Yeah - really weird. Remember when the advanced stats showed he had the most PP value in hockey history? |

can we start selling now? were not making the playoffs and if were gonna rebuild we cant continuing playing into the middle of pack. we cant keep drafting mcleods if we gonna get good. We need to eventually draft top tier talent and Hischier and Patrick are both really starting to show that even though this is a weak draft there still great Talent. Hischier is still on 17 as well. An underager dominating at WJC is a promising sign |

The one thing I trust Shero on is knowing when to sell. The market is just starting to heat up. A couple years ago Lou Lams move Jagr early when Florida made a great trade offer. Last year Ray got a great return on Stempniak. You move the assets when the return dictates. Don't force it.

With all of the bottom teams in the east so tight, it makes getting to the bottom a tad easy if any GM decides to go that route. Won't be hard to get top 5 pick with only Yotes and Avalanche assured of top 2. Still think our man Lou has this in back of his mind. We'll see how the next few games go. Not a strong draft next summer but low finishers get to pick early each round and first dibs on waiver players. All tools to your advantage. |

Theres also the lottery. Colorado and Yotes could potentially fall all the way to picks 4&5. Nothings Assured. Its why the lottery was created, to prevent tanking. |

PAP needs a goal or two this week so they can fetch a third for him.
I think we're stuck with Cammy, who might be running on fumes. Who knows, he's the type that scores 7 in one week and then not another for month. |

I see the problem as Shero does not have much to trade for anything of significant value. I don't get excited about third round draft choices, which is probably the value for PJ or DSP. The only thing he does have is salary cap, perhaps he can do better with that as a sweetener. |

Hoping to see PAP moved, especially since Blandisi was just recalled. If we don't get any luck on our side for the draft, what do you guys think about Owen Tippett? Rw and plays on the same team as McLeod & bastian. |

That's a good backup but I'd say we should be aiming a little higher than Tippett as it stands |

I was hoping they'd move Gazdic to the top line and top PP unit like Steve Bernier. |

Nothing yet. It's the 3rd round in this year's draft and should be a nice early pick.
I had hoped Gelinas was the next Sheldon Souray. |

I'd like him if we are picking in the 7-9 range
McLeod, 11 points in last 5 games... playing much better since WJC |

Might've lit a fire under him. We'll need him to continue this pace. |
