Senators are playing the kind of hockey that you need to play in the second half if you are going to play in the post season. I thought they played a really responsible game. The leafs, on the other hand, may struggle if they do not tighten up on their team play. Overall, I thought the game was great entertainment. The Sens need another top six goal scorer...soon.

I'd like to see Bailey play in place of Lazar. Maybe convince Lazar to take a conditioning stint. He isn't getting any PK time so he basically has no role on this team. But we've talked about this a lot.

Also, Dion should be parked on bench in OT. I'm fine with him in all other situations

I guess that's what you call a calculated risk. In the post-game presser, Boucher was all cool about it saying that Pyatt is the best shootout guy in practice. The Swiss league is definitely not the NHL, though, so I guess that's why Boucher was actually all I can't even watch on the bench at the time (though I guess he never watches shootouts at all)

Oh, and "the goalie coach kept telling me he's the best... I'm not smart 'cause I could have done it before"

Sens have certainly answersed the bell this week. Was worried about the tough schedule this month but so far so good.

Last night was a nail-biter and could easily have gone either way. I'm delighted we came away the win despite giving the Leafs a point. I couldn't care less if we lost every other game and even missed the playoffs as long as we beat the Maple Leafs consistently. I mean, I'm happy that their team is getting out of the basement, but their (frank)ing jerk-off fans are so rude and smug and irritating it makes me crazy.

Pyatt is awesome! The guy just quietly showed up on the roster, but I think he's a real asset, hardworking and a playmaker.
