I dunno about one of the best ever, but certainly among the top two with Pitts right now. Such a good team. And that's even with kuznetzov having a less than stellar season.
Cbj ain't in their class either.
Wedding crashers is probably my pick. Masterful
Dialogue.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall is up there too. Way underrated for how funny it is for some reason. |

While both of those are hilarious, I can't put them on my all-time comedy list, and I am a huge Vince Vaughn fan:
(no particular order)
MacGruber
Old School
Pop Star
Anchorman 2
Anchorman 1
Ladies Man
Hot Rod

Haven't seen pop star yet though. My buddy says it's gold

Simple Answer: No.
I'd take the Oilers of the 80s, the Pens of the early 90s, the Habs of the 70s, and finally the Red Wings of the mid 90s with the Avs of the mid 90s right there with them. |

That's fair, but you have to adjust for the Salary Cap. |

started watching hockey in 84 at the end of Oilers reign, best teams I've seen are early 90's Pens and 96-98 Wings. Doing this in Cap era is impressive, the question with this team remains do we have too many soft players like Kuznestov Johannson and Burakovski who dont seem willing or able to score the gritty goals you need to win playoff games which is why you see Caps bloggers pondering Kuz for Duchesne deal among others. Kuznetsov has talent to be consistent 80-100 pt 1st line center and better than Duchesne but no question who I'd trust more to produce in May and June |

How about we wait and see if they can make it passed the second round before giving them any real credit?
I'm a Pens fan and predicted the Caps to WIN the Cup last year, but...
I mean hey, they looked unstoppable last year. They had an explosive offense with incredibly solid defense. This year? Their defense looks to be better. Best teams ever?
My issue with them is scoring depth. Yes, they're getting contributions all around the lineup, but currently only five players with 10+ goals? The Rangers have 7 right now. The Pens have 6 and heck the Wild have 7.
I'm not saying scoring is everything, it's not, but if you're going to dub a team one of the best ever, they better have more scoring threats throughout the lineup. I think ultimately this is what will be their undoing. I think they're a better team than the Rangers, but the Rangers depth throughout all four lines will take them down in a 7 game series. |

Caps have great depth best bottom 6 of Ovechkin era they only have 5 right now over 10 because Burakovsky and Eller got off to slow starts and Connolly was a healthy scratch for no good reason. Difference last year in playoffs was our great scoring depth disappeared while Hagelin Bonino and Sheary shined |

Let me preface this by saying I'm not being biased with Caps-hate lol...
I just don't feel you have GREAT bottom six depth. I think you have GOOD depth, but not playoff GOOD. As much as I hate certain things about Ovechkin, I have a weird love for him and would love to see him hoist a cup(as long as it's not at the expense of beating the Pens lol).
Burakovsky is definitely a solid player. Wilson and Winnik are warriors. Eller and Connoly are good players. On paper this is "great" bottom six depth. I just feel like they don't all come together at the right time and that does speak to chemistry or something.
Who knows, I'm probably slightly off-base here. Maybe it's just all timing, but when I look at the Pens and Rangers I see third and fourth lines that on any other teams would be 2nd and 3rd lines.
So I guess more to the point, your bottom six doesn't lead me to think this Caps team is one of "the best ever," but I think you're currently the best team in the NHL. Your defense in tandem with your goaltending is unmatched. |

We have similar tastes in movies, Walk Hard definitely goes on my list. I suggest you re-watch Anchorman 2. I also gave it a bad review upon first watching it 2 years ago. I don't know what it is, but I often expect too much or something from some movies and then I don't like them, but end up loving them on second view.
I don't think any movie has the jokes/per second of Anchorman 2 - it is literally impossible to keep up with them, which is why I think it works better once you aren't concerned with the plot.
Brick's funeral, Brick's friend Leon, Ron Going Blind, the RV scene, Champ's restaurant, "great Tony Danza's scrotum", when he first meets Linda, Dinner with her parents "will one of you pipe hitting bi*tches pass em the mashed potatoes".. ......there's an amazing amount of great jokes. Better than the original, I think. |

Some good points. I would definitely put the Rangers in the 10-20 rankings among teams, nowhere close to the Caps or Pens. The other thing I have a problem with is not rating them properly just because they haven't won. Washington and Pittsburgh can never meet in the final, so the final is overrated.

Shouldn't a team actually win something before this question is even thought of being asked? |

Hawks were better at forward and defense. Caps team is probably deeper on defence but the Hawks have a huge edge in the top 4.
Caps definitely have the edge in net. |
