GG needs to get a lot more passion out of these guys... I'm not sure if he even raises his voice when they under perform like this but a little bit of Tortorella yelling might do a alot of good. Light a fire under their ass would ya Glen! |

Consistency.
To tell you the truth I think they will play great when they are a couple points out. But with all these games in hand its not going to help our case. |

Johnny and monny are too busy drinking with their buddy Lance Bouma instead of focusing on hockey |

CJ has provided good goaltending considering hes a backup.
Elliott on the other hand shows up some games but nothing that could carry a team.
Good thing your GM did not sign him long term. |

Monahan and Gaudreau need a gritty forward to play with. Why not try Bennett or Tkachuk there? I understand him playing off wing but still. |

Hudler wasn't gritty. They just need to wake the Fack up plain and simple. I wouldn't split up the 3m line |

We shed allot of contracts after this year. So, as it stands we are a bubble team. If come trade deadline we are exactly where we are now are we adding for a playoff push, selling to add for next year or standing pat in anticipation of the offseason? I guess are win in win now mode (playoffs win) or hope for the best with what we have and work it out in the summer? |

Unless they are able to add a top 6 RW or a #3 / #4 Defenceman that is more than just a rental I don't see the Flames doing much at all come trade deadline.
They my dump some of their expiring contracts to get some picks or prospects, but I wouldn't expect much more.
I think the off-season will be much more interesting for them. There are a couple UFA defencemen that could fill out that top 4 that I can see the going after. Not much available on the RW front, but a trade could be possible.
It's also a weaker draft this year and with it looking like they will be picking in the mid-teens I could see them moving their first again (like they did a couple years ago to get Hamilton) to get somebody that could step into RW next season. |

CJ gave this team life when they needed it but now he's back down to earth. Elliott hasn't shown he's anything more than a backup. I agree that it's good BT didn't throw big money at either of them. Last night, the difference was goaltending. Not sure what to do...I'd resign CJ to a modest contract and look for someone else who might be able to be a no. 1. |

Will be interesting to see what we can get for Engs. It's a shame Bouma's contract doesn't end this year. He's playing pretty well in the physicality department lately.
Wonder if Ol' Daryl would take him on his team for a run as 13th forward.
Oh well, I'm sure he'll be back to his perma-injured self by the time next season's TDL rolls around. |

I was thinking Bouma should be sent down to the baby Flames. Team needs some sort of kick in the ass. Bouma, with his contract, should be one of the guys held responsible. He is supposed to be a heart and soul guy but has done sweet baby (frank) all since they made playoffs.
What happened to ice time being earned?
I am pissed these guys have been lifeless for half of the last 6 games.

I'm assuming you guys will trade Bennet and something for a #1 goalie.
Like Mrazek from Detroit. |
