Yes probably on off season deal when Bishop leaves. Drouin looks the goods - every time he plays us he scores & usually throws an assist in there for fun!

Strange year for you guys so far. I think you'll work it out in time, lucky the other teams aren't putting a lot of space between playoff positions & missing out!

Fleury is going to Las Vegas in June so why trade for him?

Vasi has been fine but with Stamkos and Hedman out of the lineup things are tough. Bishop is just back from an injury too.

The NHL has sent out a press-release saying that all goalies must use the new smaller pads by february 6th or something. Vasy has played with them all year. Maybe this has something to do with his regression, or maybe he is just having a bad year and struggeling with the big workload he's been given.

And that trade proposal is really one sided. Pitt is shopping MAF bc of expansion, everybody knows this. Drouin is the only player on our team worth watching right now. Pouliot has done nothing to prove himself in the NHL, and he is freakin 23 years old. Not a prospect anymore. And that would mean that we lose Vasy to Vegas.

Well they would have to trade Fleury to Vegas or protect him based on his contract, Vegas can't draft him.

I am starting to wonder if the Blues may be a nice trade partner for Tampa? Bring Bishop back since Allen seems to be getting pulled every other game and Shattenkirk would be a decent addition to our blueline. I think both organizations are going to start trying to get it together and patch small holes, Goaltending in St. Louis and Defense in Tampa. Seems like a good trade partner to keep Bishop out of the East also.

The trade won't happen due to Vegas - basically ran it out without thinking about the draft. Agreed on Poliout, seems like he got to big of a chip on his shoulder to fill a defensive need for you guys and had way to big expectations on him from the beginning.

A Bish for Shatt trade could be good for both sides. Dont know how bad Allen is playing, but I have never been sold on him. The question is if both teams will be able to resign them with their cap situation.

5 goals against, 4 goals scored on this road trip in three games. The defense is back but now the offense is gone.

As for the Goalies, each one gave up a bad softy in each game of this road trip. The other two were a defensive breakdown in OT on a faceoff and then a redirected shot off of Nesterov who was in the blue paint. Both have played well but with a mental lapse each game. I wonder if the trend continues.

Going to be interesting to see what happens, at what point do we say the playoffs are out of reach for this team? But its not like other teams are pulling away so there is still hope.

He's from Australia.. his hockey knowledge is questionable.

Funny that, Vasi seeing 114 odd less shots tending with arguably a stronger D unit the stats for both Vasi & Flower are pretty close for this season (comparing this season as Vasi is basically playing as a starter). So I guess going by the stats thus far Vasi is only slightly above average if at all above due to the less shots faced & team in front (based on this year - being the most responsible stats to judge as it's the now not 24 months ago!) having better D? If the 'trend' continues Flower may very well be the better option in net for a contender (probably why JR wants to keep him in Pittsburgh).

Do you have any data to back up your claim that tampa has a better defense that pittsburgh? Also.. what goalie stats are you comparing when looking at vasi and Fleury?
