I predict hat trick for Yaku.... oh.

I'm joking, but has he been that god awful for you guys this year? Not being in St Louis, it's not like I get to see the Blues at all

Coming into STL we already knew he was labeled as a bust and we didn't give up a lot for him. So it's probably easier for us to see the good things he's been doing. I haven't been disappointed with him, still hope he will kick it up a notch though.

I know early on (like first or 2nd game in STL) he had a goal and an assist, and I got pretty excited. Was a great guy around the city with the community here, so I had no hard feelings towards him. Just wished he would've taken that next step in a new environment for you guys

Great shot. He didn't have much of a chance.

Should have had the first one.

The first one yeah. The second goal I thought he was too far in his net. Once that pass is made he should be on top of his crease and challenging more. Good shot though

The puck was behind the net, centered into the slot and one timed. There wasn't time to get to the top of the crease on that one. Totally on the defense there.

What a terrible game....

this team is a dumpster fire that has burned itself out and spread to the neighboring trash pile.

And by defense, don't you mean Jori Lehtera? At least in part. Shouldn't the centerman be looking for someone streaking down the slot when the puck is behind the net........

But even if you give Jake a pass on that one, he was awful. Again.

First goal given up just moments into the game on the second shot, putting the Blues down right off the hop. Again.

He's a mess right now. And Carter Hutton sucks.

And the team as a whole is a mess right now as well. Which at least begs the question:

Is it time?

I want to watch the replay of the goal tonight, he couldn't get out where he wanted to be but I don't think he got out hardly at all. he didn't even get 1/2 way there it seemed. The goal likely still happens but it seemed like Allen didn't even give himself the best chance to make the save. As a goalie, no matter what, you have to give yourself the best odds to make a save even if the odds are tiny imho.

This is ONLY from my live watch of the goal so i COULD be wrong.

Army created this through a number of decisions. I really hope I have time to write it up this weekend. At this point, it's really not very fixable unfortunately imho.

It really has to do with a lack of a first line centerman. Letera just does not cut it. I would bet bottom dollar he wouldn't ven be a point per game guy in the AHL.

There are some good wingers and players down low.

Mistake in signing Hutton because you could throw Copely out there and get etter results. I thought trading Elliott was maybe a bit short sighted, only because I thought Allen was ready for the number one, but he had a history of injuries in his short time.

Te fact Shattenkirk is still on this team is a freaking mystery. I like his offense, not so much his defense, l like his heart but we do not need him.

Why Fabbri is not playing with Tarasenko is a mystery. He was a big reason Tarasenko gets points.

Steen is either playing trough an injury or has regressed quickly.

Jaskin at this point is a fourth liner because while he has tremendous skill he is too slow. There are too many slow players on the team. Wen your top two centermen are Berglund and Stastny and you play the other one with your top goal scorer uh oh.

Still not sure why Gunnarsson was resigned.

Probably sould have eaten the bullet that was te Backes contract. But te whole narrative that you take Ott, Backes and Brouwer from the team and it kills the team is bunk. I think removing Elliott was the killer because hey had stability in net. Even last year we saw the same leaky defense too often. They would play great and dominate but give up these glorious chances. That really started last season. This year you get those plus weak goals.

We have talked about weak goals before. How they kill teams. Look no further than Dallas who is well stacked but then the goals against kill them and it changes their style of play.

Lehtera got caught too low on that play. A harmless dump in, that Gunnar looked terrible on. (not a surprise, he looked really bad all night) Shattenkirk, instead of getting back to support, was gliding in watching, and his man picked up the puck behind the net. Lehtera was trying to get to him to support since Shattenkirk wasn't there, and got caught between the two. He stopped and tried to get back to the slot and was too late as their guy quickly got it out in front.

Allen was down protecting the post on a wrap around, and wasn't able to get out like he would have liked to challenge the shot.

It started with the defense breaking down. Gunnar and Shatty.

Not a play I would blame the center or the goalie on.

The guy who sits next to me last night knows i'm a goalie and was joking about that all night...asking me if i had my gear in the car, if my injury was healed enough, etc.
