Same old flyers after the break. We'll see if they bounce back or go on one of their patented 1-6-1 january slumps

The ducks are so confusing this season. They have largely the same forward core, and a changes to the back end, but nothing major. When they are on, they are fun to watch.

Manning shouldn't be singled out. The majority of the team was bad. Much easier to single out who played well.

I thought Anaheim was the lowest scoring team in the NHL?

Also were 29 out of 30 in the League standings.

Solid effort last night.

Serious question: Do you honestly believe his duties involve anything with the on ice product?

Even if the entire team played bad, it is still okay to single out a guy who was that much worse.

Manning was beyond god awful last night. Terrible all around to be honest. WOOF

It makes zero sense to single out one player when the entire team was pretty much bad. Manning was no worse than a number of players. Some need a scapegoat and that's okay. If I was going to single any players out, I'd start at the top with the captain, and work my way down, and not start with a rookie.

Last I checked, Ron Hextall was the general manager. Hextall is in charge of day to day operations of the on ice product.

Regardless of their scoring to date. It makes it so much easier when you can consistently win puck races. Many people believed ANA had a serious shot at the finals this year. Maybe they will go on a run now. Losing Fowler hurts....we'll see how long that is

I've seen a bunch of Ducks games this year. They have sucked pretty much the entire season. They have the talent to turn things around though. The bottom of the West isn't very deep this year, I believe they are only 5 points out of a playoff spot.

Thats cool. Fire away. Maybe its not looking for a scapegoat and just actually assessing a player. Manning had (imo) his worst pro game last night. Multiple bad angles, twice was the cause for a breakaway, couldnt control the puck... just a really bad night.

I havent read anywhere on here where someone is saying "It was all Mannings fault, he was the only bad player. Bah"

I don't know. Probably? What does it matter? He's not the GM. For all we know, Hextall consults Coatsey and his son Brett about trades.

The point is, constant whining about Paul Holmgren being the President of the team is sort of silly at this point. He doesn't have his hands on the controls anymore. Let it go.
