Said it last season and I'll say it again today, trading Duclair was a big (frank)ing mistake, thank the lord Sather isn't the GM anymore, BTW our PP still sucks and Buchnevich better come over and pan out

Just like with every draft pick, your not always gonna come out great on every trade you make. I want to see what happens with Yandle before I say it was a bad trade.

We win the Cup and I'll be happy but if it's another failed experiment it'll be another black mark, I still believe we could have gotten Yandle without including Duclair

In hindsight maybe they would've accepted Hagelin instead of the Duke?

As long as Buchnevich is the real deal I think the Rangers will be ok. There really is a log jam at the forward spot right now.

I think that is wishful thinking since Maloney said he wanted an impact top 6 forward to move Yandle or an elite forward prospect.

Watching that 3rd goal though, Rangers could use someone like that with that shooting ability

Patience is not my virtue and it's certainly not gonna be this year, it's only 4 games in but Kreider and Nash need to produce this season, the talent and potential Kreider has can't be wasted

Nah, just acknowledging Duclair has the ability to be pretty good

I think people forget that getting the Coyotes to accept half the Yandle cap hit is probably why it cost so much (Duclair)

the Rangers wanted to add a high impact defenseman last season without having to trade any core players for their cup run

they never would have traded Hagelin, he was too important to last year's team

this was a quote after the trade was made "“(Saturday) Glen came back to me for a serious offer for Keith, and when he put Duclair’s name in as part of a deal, that got our attention,” Don Maloney said.

I don't believe it could have been done for anyone else, I think the Coyotes would have traded him somewhere else if not for Duclair

No it wasn't.

He wouldn't be playing top line here, or even top six here, for the next several years. The overreaction to every little thing, ex-players do or whenever this team fails at something, is getting to be a little too much to stomach.

This stuff is gonna happen when the Rangers come off of losses and players people liked have big games elsewhere.

I don't think Hagelin would have been enough to get Yandle out of Arizona. Although they are 3-0, and have beaten three high profile teams, they are in a rebuild phase and likely weren't going to take on a player who was in line for a huge raise as Hagelin was.

Duclair had a big game last night but, like I stated in another post, the overreaction to one great game is absurd. He is playing top line minutes even strength and on the power play due to the Coyotes dearth of quality NHL talent on their roster.

Hoping Etem gets a chance tonight. Want to see if the early benching motivated him. When he gets a chance would love to see him play so well that they can't take him back out.
