Im excited about morin. Depending where the flyers draft and who's available, the flyers can really start stockpiling defensive prospects. Really interested to see the draft this year with hecksy involved.

Laughtons potential frees up some assets up front to use in a trade for hopefully a young defenseman down the line. Can't wait until he's ready for the NHL or when the flyers roster makes room for him.

Bill,

I think I remember a Halloween game against TB a number of years ago where Enrico Ciccone had a fight as well as a hook/hold/trip penalty. I remember the in or penalty because the announcers made a note about how he was okay with the roughing/fighting penalties but no the others. It was either a Halloween game or a 10/30 game. Has my mind gone on me (more than usual)?

Morin made the QMJHL team also, now we see if Leier makes the WHL roster.

I am really encouraged by what I see in couturier this year and the chiefs use of him. I think this is the beginning of coutts making his mark on the NHL. His rookie year was not a flash in the pan, rather a glimpse of the future.

You can see the offensive potential starting to bubble up slowly as well.

A truly special player who should not be traded.

Gotta trade for Washington Township's (childhood residence, not birth place) Johnny Gaudreau first.
Go Gloucester County! And before that, go Camden County, birthplace of Mr. Bob Ryan Fist.

Even though the flyers forgot the game was 60 minutes on Tuesday, I still saw a lot they can build on. No time to go backwards. Puck pursuit and passing was great te first half of the game minus a few gaffes. Mason still playing solid. Need to get the PP and late game letdown issues resolved. I also think some of the lines are starting to build chemistry.

I think the focus needs to shift back to high scoring forwards. We have Morin, Haag, Laurdsen, Alt, Konan, and Gostisbere in the system. Not to mention Gus and Schenn with the team. If 3 of those guy can make the team and 1 of them become a high impact player, then that would be 5 homegrown defenseman in 4-5 years.

And with Schenn, Coutuirer, and Laughton, they need to move away from "Mike Richards" forwards mold and start to go after pure goal scorers in the draft.
