He'll end up on the ring of honor, or whatever it's called, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver! One of the greatest Canucks of all time, 7th all time with 770 GP and 1st all time with 325 pts for a defenseman. |

I look forward to watching that ceremony, whenever it should happen. I'd love to see him suit up for one shift to start a game in Vancouver with the Lightning to end his career. Bit of a pipe dream though. |

Always was a fan of his while he was in Vancouver and was sorry to see him leave. Got to meet him personally once in Hawaii and he was very friendly. Think he is a great player, teammate and person. |

I'm sorry! Didn't even think of that when I wrote it.
I really do hope that we get to see him again. He says he wants to come back, but I'm not sure that he will. Could be better for his post-hockey life to just stay out and build strength back. |

No need to be. Its late and im tired anyways.
Hopefully he can find a team in europe to play with, part time if need be, where it might be less physical than the the North American style. Should it come to that, of course. |

What does TB think if the season is cancelled next year and the Sedins Edler Hedman Ohlund and players like that go play SEL and decide to stay?
Yes they have contracts but decertification would cancel contracts. Crosby is talking about going to Europe and OV Malkin and Datsyuk all ask NHL WHO?
Carefull what you wish for NHL |

Seriously. Why would I be a Canucks fan? Because I live in BC now?
Or is this just joking around? I can give a serious answer...but you not gonna like it. |

I'm a Canucks fan living in Oiler nation and having the friendly rivalries with friends and co-workers makes for some good times. I go to a lot of games with friends, whether it be Canucks games or other random games. I do cheer for Edmonton when it isn't against Vancouver as I have no hate for the team and living here, I see a potential bright future with some major/minor tweaks. Of course I missed being in VanCity/Surrey during the Canucks run but I'll enjoy it in years when the OIlers make it.
As for Ohlund, I miss having his steadyness in Vancouver. His foot speed slowed but defensive awareness and positioning were never an issue. How I miss his rivalry with Iginla! |

as i have met ohlund personally he is a very soft spoken nice guy. you can tell he would be a leader in the locker room. he led by example. i feel so bad for him ive seen him skate and then as soon as he got off he would have ice bags on both of his knees and walks with a limp now. really nice guy. he brought in salo to meet us in the proshop in brandon who also seems very similar to ohlund. there was talk if they put in the buyout that you couldnt buy out injured players so if that was the case i think they would buyout lecavalier and malone and then hopefully resign them both to reasonable contracts if not they would both get scooped up. we could revamp the defense and goaltending even more if we had ohlunds, lecavaliers, and malones contacts off the books. say you sign vinny to the same contract we gave marty around 5 mill. malone to like 3.5 and then let ohlund walk or have the normal buyout of a couple mill a year for him and that frees up like 6 mill or more for us to work with. would do wonders to bring in someone for our 3rd line too. |

I moved here from NL in 94, just missed the playoffs by less than 2 months. I liked the Canucks when I moved here. Drove across the country to get here so didn't see a single game.
Linden and Bure and a magical run to game 7. I was a Lions fan and always wanted to move here, one coast to the other.
Getting here changed my perception. Vancouver was not as nicce as i thought it would be. Cold attitudes and poopty weather pattern in the late fall/winter/ early spring. I endured, I am stubborn like that, even after all my friends moved away I stayed.
It was as I continued to live here that I realized how ignorant many of the hockey fans were here. Rollercoaster fans riding they team hard when they were not playing well and then bandwagoning them when the team was doing well.
The fans were just too much and it made me dislike the team. I still liked some players, but would root against them more and more just to spite the fans. Now i am not a fan of most of the players, so cheering openly against them during the SCFail was easy to do. |

I think it's more likely for the Sedins/Ohlund than it is for Edler/Hedman simply because Edler and Hedman still have their big earning years ahead of them in the NHL. Part of me believes that the Sedins would like to finish their careers in Modo, though. |
