With 19 options at his disposal, Vegas Golden Knights general manager George McPhee will make the easy call and pluck defenseman Colin Miller from the Bruins at tonight’s NHL expansion draft, according to Sportsnet and confirmed to WEEI.com.

Left exposed by the Bruins opting to protect Zdeno Chara (no-movement clause), Torey Krug, and Kevan Miller, the 24-year-old Miller’s departure from the Bruins organization comes after a season in which he recorded six goals and 13 points in 61 games.

Miller has skated in 103 total NHL games, with nine goals and 29 points for the B’s.

Miller, originally acquired from the Kings in the Milan Lucic trade in 2015, is under contract for $1 million this season and will be a restricted free agent in 2018.

It is presently unclear if Miller is destined for the Knights, or if McPhee is going to turn and flip him to the Maple Leafs, a team rumored to have interest in him, on Thursday.
