Winter Classic Press Conference

Representatives from Pittsburgh and Washington gathered in the hot sun Tuesday afternoon at Heinz Field for the 2011 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic press conference. Although they didn't unveil the new jersey (my bad, guys. I had it in my head we were going to see it today), they were rocking the Penguins "scarf" logo all over the place.

Nets and fake boards were placed on the field to give people an idea of how the rink will look in the center of the stadium.

Talbot shared his dislike of Washington forward Alex Ovechkin, saying that Evgeni Malkin introduced him to Ovechkin during last summer's NHL awards.

"This guy is a real douche," Talbot said about Ovechkin.

Talbot, known for his larger-than-life personality, was more subdued at Tuesday's press conference when asked about the Pittsburgh vs. Washington matchup.

Talbot talked about the rivalry with Washington:

Remembering John Barbero

The Penguins organization is still mourning the loss of longtime PA announcer John Barbero, who passed away Monday evening at age 65.

Max Talbot and Sidney Crosby talked about Barbero's passing at Tuesday's press conference:
