The New Jersey Devils have finally addressed their glaring need for scoring.

In a shocking trade the Devils acquired left winger Taylor Hall from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for Adam Larsson.

Hall has averaged 28 goals and 70 points per 82 games since entering the league. He is an elite skater, an elite point producer and far and away becomes the Devils' best offensive weapon.

At just 24 years of age he still has plenty of fantastic years ahead of him, too, and is signed at a very team friendly salary of $6 million per for the next four seasons.

I'll have a lot more on the deal tomorrow but I will say this: the team that gets the best player often wins the trade and there's no doubt which team is getting the best player.
