This afternoon the New Jersey Devils will look to get back on track following an underwhelming performance in Toronto on Thursday night.
Doing so won't be easy, though, as standing in the way will be the NHL's 1st place team in the Washington Capitals.
The Caps have won seven of their last 10, picked up at least a point in eight of those games and are 17-5-2 on the road this season so picking up a point - let alone winning - is not going to be easy.
The Devils need to be significantly better than they were last time out in Toronto or they're going to get blown out of the rink.

Notes
1) Sergei Kalinin has been demoted from the 2nd line to the 3rd line following a poor performance against the Leafs. Taking his spot in the top-6 will be Reid Boucher. Perhaps this is just what he needs to get going.
2) The Caps click at a league-leading 25% on the man advantage. Discipline is extremely important in this game.
3) Cory Schneider has a .941 save percentage in his last 13 starts. He'll need to be dynamite again today for the Devils to have a chance.
The game is at 1:00 eastern and can be seen on MSG + and CSN-DC.
