The Calgary Flames have found their starting goaltender.
After reaching out about anyone and everyone that could potentially be had the Flames settled on Brian Elliott.
Going St. Louis' way is the 35th overall pick and a conditional 3rd in 2018 if Elliott re-signs in Calgary.
Considering the asking prices for Ben Bishop, Marc-Andre Fleury and some of the big names on the market I think Elliott was probably the best option on the trade market.

With the 6th overall pick the Calgary Flames added the power forward they've been after in Matthew Tkachuk.
While Tkachuk is not a player who will run people through the rink he is an in your face-type player and lives around the net. He's not without skill, though, as he has some of the best hands in the draft and has exceptional vision with the puck.
He's probably still a year away but he should compliment Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan nicely.
Tkachuk had 30 goals, 107 points and led all CHL draft eligible players with 67 points while playing in 57 regular season with the London Knights.
