The Last Time ...

Interesting talking to Simon Gagne this morning at the skate. Talking about Martin Brodeur.

Brodeur won't be in goal tonight or any night soon because of his biceps surgery.

Couple things:

Brodeur had been in goal for 38 straight games against the Flyers. The last time he wasn't was Feb. 27, 2002. Flyers won, 1-0 that night. Some guy named Checko was in net for the Flyers. Remember him?

Anyway, who was in goal for the Devils and who scored the game-winner for the Flyers?

Go to my story on CNSPhilly.com for the answer and some delightful quotes from the Flyers about playing the Devils without Brodeur.

BTW: Matt Carle's back acted up at the morning skate. He left the ice. And I don't expect him in the lineup tonight.
