Briere on his injury which occurred during the 7-6 shootout loss to San Jose this week:
“I felt a little something in my groin in the game against San Jose,” Briere said. “I had an MRI done and the person looking at it said it was fine. I had it checked again today and they found a little tear, so I am going to go ahead and have the surgery tomorrow morning."

It just keeps getting worse for the Flyers ... Danny Briere will undergo surgery tomorrow morning to repair an abdominal tear in his left side.
He'll miss 3-4 weeks according to GM Paul Holmgren.
