Disguise the fact there's no playoffs again with hard-favour'd "see y'all next year!"
Then lend the mind's eye a positive thought;
Let pry through the months that lay ahead, with no drought.

As rightfully as doth visions with predictions and purviews
O'erhang your man caves with confounded Canes gear,
Swill liquors and tailgate with Caniacs and beer.
Now set expectation and stretch next season with pride,
Hold hard the breath and tell friends we've arrived.
To our height. On, on, you noblest fan.
Whose devotion is set from the Cup of the land!
Cup Stanley that is, like we've done in the past,
Have in these parts from decade till even the last.
So sheathe those sweaters, for lack of spring play:
Dishonour not your clothing; keep them fresh for the day

Whose youth were made by Peters, show us all through the pain

I will be attending the final home game for the Carolina Hurricanes this season on Thursday evening with my amazing fiance, and after having rediscovered my love for this team, for writing, and for a lot of things these past few months, I pledge to be more consistent with my writing and articles covering the Canes here on HockeyBuzz. It's been a roller coaster 2016 thus far, and I appreciate those of you who've read and made comments to me here and on Twitter as I adjust to this role - it's one I've really dreamt of having most of my life.
I'll have a recap from Thursday's events on Friday. So do stay tuned - just because it's the offseason starting next week doesn't mean there won't be plenty to cover as it relates to the Hurricanes. It's shaping up to be a very active summer for Carolina and I plan on bringing a lot of different types of articles to the table - hopefully all of which you'll enjoy and find informative.
