What is your favorite San Jose Sharks playoff moment? For most of you there are too many to pick just one, but there is always that one moment that stands out above all others.

There is always a moment that you go back to when think of the greatest moments in a team's history. They are the moments that helped to define a franchise.

For me, it was this one...

Though not a playoff moment, it might as well have been one. It was a win and your in game and I remember it like yesterday. And yes...I still get chills every time I watch it. The Devils have gone on to have many, many more amazing moments but that one still stands the tallest for me. It's a moment I will never forget.

Do the Sharks have a moment like that for you?

Come on...everybody has a favorite playoff moment. One of those magical moments that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck. One of those unbelievable moments that may, or may not, have had a tear or two running down your face. A moment you too will never forget.

As the season winds down and we gear up for what should be a very exciting NHL playoffs, I wanted to dive into the way back machine to take a look at some of the best moments in Sharks playoff history.

In this, the 25th season of Sharks hockey, there are quite a few to sift through and I thought, "what better way to pick some of the best then to ask the Sharks diehards."

That's why I need YOUR help. You, the reader, tell me what your favorite moments are and I will pick from them, write a blog, post a video or whatever.

OR....

I could just go back to writing about Minnesota's chances of clinching a playoff spot by beating the Sharks tonight and I don't really want to...or care about that.

So you tell me what you remember. I'll pick and few and post them in my blogs this week. Sound good?

I'll even go first.

The Sharks finished the 1992-93 season with 11 wins. Yes, 11 wins in a full 82 game season. With a record or 11-71-2, the team was a teal colored punchline for many a joke.

That team was the example of why many believed NHL expansion into California, Florida etc would never work.

The very next season that same punchline of a team finished 33-35-16 (82 points). It was a 58 point turnaround and the Sharks qualified for the playoffs for the first time in club history

Then, that same punchline of a team knocked off the powerful and heavily favored Detroit Red Wings in seven games, pulling of perhaps one of this biggest upsets in NHL history.

The experts said the Sharks would "never" beat the Wings and this happened....

Never say never.

I bet you have the chills right now.

I remember watching the end of that game and laughing at the Wings total embarrassment. Looking back on it now, it's another one of those moments that helped to deepen my love for this sport and its history. And yes, history was definitely made that night.

Now it's your turn. Leave a comment below with your favorite memory and why... I'll do the rest.

thanks for reading,
Steve
