Phil Kessel is a two-time Stanley Cup Champion. These are the facts. No player has more playoff goals the last two years than Phil Kessel (18), also the facts. Another addition to his great list of achievements is that he now holds the deed to the internet.
He did the thing.
The thing is of course further embarrassing the lying clown columnist Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun. Steve thought he would fat shame Phil Kessel when fabricating lies about his eating habits in order to get one last petty shot against the Maple Leafs best player. Pension Plan Puppets brilliantly exposed Simmons character.
Naturally, Steve can't admit to being a flagrant liar on the subject.
You can't really say anything because actions speak louder than words and Phil's actions have left you in a corner that even you can't bloviate out of. You lied about him. It blew up in your face. You are the worst kind of person in the media.
Edit 12:20PM I underestimated Steve Simmons
Simmons subsequently revealed that the hot dog vendor story was shared by “a friend of one of my kids who lived in the same condo that Phil lived in”
What a loser.
Phil could have done the hot dog in the Stanley Cup thing last year. Instead, he waited a year relishing the chance to do it after a repeat title. We are all grateful that you did, Phil.
