What Would Uncle Lou Do? That is the question.
I think we have seen in the past that Uncle Lou beats to his own drum. It has worked out in signing people and also backfired (see Rafalski). I am hoping Lou and Andy Greene get somewhere since Green was not tendered his contract and either side seem worried about getting a deal done. Applause to him for inking Oduya yesterday.
Perhaps Lou is busy wirking on something else? Now, what could that be?
My pipe dream: Gaborik, Komisarek, Havlat (I have always wished for Havlat to play with Elias)
Reality; Ohlund but cap space may be a problem, Koivu may work, Sykora Id love to see again with Elias, Craig Anderson could be a nice backup if all fails with Clemmensen and Weeks, Morrison could be part of the Devils reunion tour, Gionta at a lower price would work if he is not in a Rangers jersey, Shanahan I would welcome back at minimum play, Knuble could be interesting, Aucoin could fit in nicely, Lang?
The point is Lou will be working hard and Devils fans waiting anxiously.
No sense in predicting...In Lou We Trust.
