Good win tonight.
Nice seeing Patty Elias get on the board and string a few good games, I think he really has an opportunity to step up with Parise and elevate his game. A good guy, I caught the end of a documentary on the NHL channel when he goes abroad with Unicef and visits - great stuff.
Clemmensen got another win! When was the last time any Devils goalie, other than Brodeur, started 3 consecutive games?
Brookbank on 4th line wing? Id rather see Vrana or another youngster. I think Leblond will get back in there.
When I heard Claude Lemieux was planning on a comeback while listening to XM I almost choked. Geeze, the guy played two games in China and according to Ek will come to the AHL? He WAS serious!!!
The Devils and the Wings are the only two teams that never got caught up in the third jersey thing.
We have obviously seen many third jerseys with some horrible ones stepping onto the ice. I think Reebok and teams now adapting a retro look is nice. I am still on the fence about the Flyers' new third jersey although my all time favorite Flyers jersey was their last orange with the silver outlined logo. I also like the Oilers third retro look.
But I read an article by Frank Della Femina at NJ.com that I wanted to share with you all:

I have always brought up the idea in conversations and thought it would be fun to discuss.
I remember when the thrd jersey thing started years back, Uncle Lou gave an interview and said the Devils didnt need a third jersey and he didnt feel the need for youngsters to have to spend money on yet another jersey.
My creative side always wanted a thurd jersey for the Devils and always thought a black jersey could be nice.
My ultimate vision would be;
A black jersey with a Devil face or pitchfork as shoulder patches.
I would like "New Jersey" written on the jersey - either like Dallas' on across the chest or like the Avs' third maroon jersey coming diagonally on the front. Id like the lettering to be either red or white with silver outline on the letters. (I love the Devils logo, just think a third jersey doesnt need to have it if we are going with a different look)
Pants... red or black. White would also throw an entirely different look.
(I cant picture all these scenarios, if I had any graphic talent Id throw my ideas on the screen)
I have been looking to buy a quality red and green jersey but havnt found one yet. Seeing what the Oilers did with their retro a red and green (as some of the people in the article threw some ideas out there) would be cool.
What do you think?
