Well, it has been a big headline for the Devils and it's fans. The sale of the team could be near.
Or is it?

I have just spoken to someone connected to the headline and another "party" is involved and had conversation with Gary Bettman as recent as last week. This group is a new name to the mix with "deep pockets looking for a new hobby..." as was said to me.
I know of this group through my line of work but would have never guessed.

Sorry this is to vague but this does make things interesting, seems like the Devils are indeed an attractive team after all.
This blog was also for those Devils fans panicking at the thought of a Philadelphia ownership being in charge of the Devils. I, personaly, do no tthink it is a big deal.
They are business people and you know how the saying goes... If you cant beat them, join (or buy) them!

I hope to be able to discuss the entity soon as it will likely be made public if, indeed, they are serious.

Now, what that means for the Devils and player news...
Since the Jagr signing things on the player side have been quiet. Very quiet.

Rumors went wild for a bit, first it was Brunner then Raymond. We even heard of Grabovski's name in the mill. Then there is also Adam Henrique the Devils have not signed.

I believe, and have been told, the reson why Henrique is not yet signed is due to the likely change in ownership. As is typical, longer term financial moves are left for new ownership to decide.
No worries, Henrique will be signed and will be a Devils for some time.

After Henrique... dominoes. Maybe Brunner (which is my wish) or Raymond but as you all know - with Uncle Lou you have no clue!

I believe that New Jersey and Phoenix situations have been holding up the remaining free agent from signing.

Let's go Devils! Camp can't come soon enough.

Truly yours,
The Devils Advocate
