Gabriel Bourque remains in the fold.

The Avalanche on Thursday announced they have re-signed the 27-year-old forward to a one-year contract for the 2018-19 season.

Bourque will make $950,000, according to capfriendly.com, a $200,000 raise.

“Gabriel brings leadership and a veteran presence to our team,” general manager Joe Sakic said in a news release. “He plays hard minutes, kills penalties and is reliable at both ends of the ice.”

Bourque had 11 points (five goals, six assists) in 58 games this past season, with two goals in six playoff games. He was fourth on the team with 123 hits and averaged 1:54 in ice time when killing penalties.

The foot-10, 206-pound Bourque was signed by the Avalanche as a free agent on Oct. 10, 2016 and has 89 points (36 goals, 53 assists) in 306 career NHL games with Nashville and Colorado.

He spent most of the 2016-17 season with San Antonio of the AHL, when he had 33 points (10 goals, 23 assists) in 61 games. He had no points in six games with the Avalanche that season.

Bourque was Nashville’s fifth-round pick (No. 132) in the 2009 NHL draft. He played parts of five seasons with the Predators beginning in 2011-12 and had 78 points (31 goals, 47 assists) in 248 games, with five points (three goals, two assists) in 15 playoff games.

The Colorado Eagles, the Avalanche’s ECHL affiliate who move up to the AHL next season, will meet the Florida Everblades in the best-of-seven Kelly Cup championship series.

The Eagles, who are defending champions, will open the series Friday and Sunday at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colo.

The Everblades had the league’s best regular-season record, but Colorado will be home for the first two games because of an arena conflict. Florida will be home for Games 3, 4 and 5 (if necessary) and Game 7 (if necessary).

The Eagles advanced to the final with a 4-3 overtime win against the Fort Wayne Komets in Game 7 of the Western Conference final.
