We know that the Canucks are interested in Bouwmeester. According to most reports the Canucks may have the inside track. What we don't know is what they are willing to pay to talk to him. If it costs nothing in 5 days why talk now? If they are talking, what is the payment if a deal happens?
It appears that some discussion with Luongo has happened and TSN has a report up about the deal saying it could be announced July 1 or after- it has to be but that's besides the point.
The numbers bantered are around 8 million and in the TSN report it states that...

If Luongo is signed or at least the basic framework and numbers agreed to, and I believe this to be a very important part of any deals this weekend, is Cory Schneider in play on the trade market? If so I feel this ups the ante for what Mike Gillis could do tonight and between the UFA period.
As of what I can find and one phone call I have no news to report on the Sedins and depending on what happens tonight they could easily have their rights dealt.
By all accounts Gaborik has bought a house in West Van- some say the BP's but why would he want to live in those slums? :) just kidding. Demitra has denied it but there are enough reports going around. I would imagine that the team is very wary of being held accountable for tampering. Does this mean he is signing in Lotusland? Who knows but out of all the places to buy a home for recreation and enjoyment even this long time Vancouverite would not choose West Van, there are far better places in the GVRD than that IMO. It just seems all to 'convenient'.
I will update as long as possible today but I am going out of town and will not have internet access. Enjoy the draft and I look forward to discussing the events with you guys on Sunday.
