Here we go folks a Swedish right winger to perhaps join the twins! What do you think?

It's a solid move, not glamourous but smart and Gillis has a belief in the 12-20 goal scoring forwards that they can produce more in the right circumstances. So far I like but have not given it too much analysis yet.

UPDATE:

So where do we stand with the club?

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Demitra, Kesler, Samuelsson
Raymond Wellwood Bernier
Rypien Johnson Hordichuck

Bolduc, Grabner and Hodgson being the variables

Salo and Edler
Bieksa and Mitchel
SOB and Rome
McIvor

That's assuming that Wellwood SOB and Hansen are signed. Is that a team? Is there room to make a deal using any combination of our bottom half scrubs?

I think there's a bit more cooking but let's see what we do know to date.

Sundin could come back but it would have to be cheap(er). Gillis has made two, perhaps three if you count plucking Wellwood, deals that have brought Vancouver players under most fan's radar- Bernier and now Samuelsson. He is playing to his "money puck" philosophy and that may not be a bad thing but it will never be exciting in some regards or in some fan's view points.

I like a big deal as much as the next guy but I also believe in change but not always for change's sake. IMO this club is looking a bit to familiar and I would like to see one more change, preferably on the back end, but that's for Mike Gillis to decide and he probably has but like his past deals we probably won't see it coming.
