So here is the article....

I just want to let everyone know that even TSN falls for the foolish reports as long as it comes from a 'reputable' media source. Well, a Swedish website in this case.

Let's be honest comparing Hank and Dan to Zetterberg is a reach. Not a huge one but a reach. However locking in two players until age 40 is beyond stupid, IMO. It will include NMC's, DCMPC's (Don't criticize me publicly clauses) and anything else you can think of adding too. I don't think locking any 28 year old player until age 40 is smart but two of them...get a grip. Mike Gillis will not do that....right?

Mike, I know you read my column, so please with all due respect, steer clear of this idea. Let 'em walk if need be but do not sign them for 12 years. I don't know what the perfect answer is but 6 years- age 34 seems good to me. If that is not enough let Brian Burke have them, or Bob Gainey. Right now you have our trust and belief that you are buidling a team and franchise the right way- through draft and development. Burke and Nonis left you a bare cupboard so fill it up and let them feast for a few years on the Twins if need be. They will then starve again from the gnarled mess of the final half of a 12 year contract.

Thanks,

Pete
