- Speculation is building on when the Predators will reveal their new jersey, some are saying at the draft… I’m not sure if that one happens, due to the team’s lack of a first round pick. I’m guessing that it will probably happen at Skate of the Union in July.
- UPDATE - I've just heard that the new away jersey will be debuted at the draft. The home one will be revealed at the Skate of the Union...
- UPDATE 2 - The San Jose Sharks have let it be known that former Pred Scott Nichol won't be re-signed.
- The NHL Awards are tomorrow from Vegas.

- Nuggets of the pre-season schedule are beginning to appear. As On the Forecheck reported yesterday, the Preds will be playing the Washington Capitals in Baltimore on September 20th. The Caps will be in Nashville on Sept. 28th.
- The NHLPA has pulled the trigger on the 5% growth factor for next season’s cap, pushing the cap limit to around $64 million, the floor will be set at approximately $48 million.
- The NHL Board of Governors is expected to approve the move of the Atlanta Thrashers to Winnipeg today. Is anyone else wondering what the Winnipeg Whoever’s are going to give their draft picks to put on at the NHL Draft Friday and Saturday?
- Rumors are flying (backed up by a tweet from Pierre LeBrun that next year’s schedule should be released this week.
- Interesting situation developing in Florida where it appears Tomas Vokoun will be hitting the open market come July 1. He could be a hot commodity as plenty of teams could use a goaltender with his talent.
