Save of the year is over its done. This is it. You are going to be hard pressed to find a save much better than that. Detroit with the two on none, they get off two royal road passes and somehow Sergei Bobrovsky is able to get his skate on the shot.

That save right there changed the narrative of this game. If that goes in we are talking about a fifth straight Blue Jackets loss and the third straight game in which they have only scored one goal. Instead Bobrovsky makes that save, the game ends up going to the shootout, setting up Jack Johnson for this:

Johnson ended what was an increasingly frustrating shootout. The Jackets skaters kept walking in and just shooting. There were no dekes or moves or anything. Sometimes this does work as we saw with Artemi Panarin, but he has one of the most lethal shots on the team. Not players have that type of release.

Panarin scored the only goal for the Jackets in regulation. It came off a real nice feed from Oliver Bjorkstrand.

The Jackets need Panarin, along with their other top end players to start scoring. Getting depth scoring is nice but you need your best players to be your best players. Hopefully this goal and the shootout goal can help get Panarin on track.
