The Islanders look for their third-straight win as they host the Los Angeles Kings tonight. Jean-Francois Berube will get a rare start tonight against his former organization. Berube has not started since December 18 against the Ottawa Senators.

Thomas Greiss has been great since taking over as the starting goaltender December 30. He is 4-2-2 with a .936 save percentage and 1.99 GAA. That's with allowing seven goals against the Carolina Hurricanes last Saturday.

New York plans to ride Greiss in the second half of the season. They have nine back-to-backs remaining this season. If Berube only starts in those games, Greiss will make 30 more starts this season, bringing his total to 51, which would blow away his career high of 38 set last season.

There is nothing to indicate that Greiss cannot handle the workload. Doug Weight has to be smart about it, something that Jack Capuano was not.

Johnny Boychuk and Andrew Ladd will both miss tonight's game. Weight said that Cal Clutterbuck, is a game-time decision.

Happy 46th birthday to the interim head coach!
