Remember when playoff hockey was in Buffalo?

Am I the only one who misses playoff hockey in Buffalo? It's not often one can wear shorts heading into the First Niagara Center with a hockey game to go to. Then again, I don't think the Sabres could compete in a 7 game series with most of these playoff teams. There's plenty of work to do.

About two months from now, the 2013-14 schedule will be released, and I cannot wait.

Despite the Sabres missing the playoffs for the past two years, season ticket prices increased. That makes sense.

I don't care what the organization said about the mandatory increase, but I don't think they will have a problem with fans renewing. It was close to 98% last year, and I'm sure it will be around there again.

I believe there's a long waiting list (a few years) of people trying to purchase the season tickets.

I have a pair of season tickets in the 300's and I've had them since the 2006-07 season, and that first year was easily the best. I attended 40 regular season home games and then all the playoff games at HSBC Arena.

Now, after having them for seven years, I am considering giving them up. With the media credentials I have earned through Sabres Hockey Central, and not being able to go to many games, I don't really need season tickets anymore. It was fun while it lasted, though.
