After what must have felt like a month and a half roller coaster ride for Tomas Kaberle, wondering if he would be traded or not, I had the chance to speak with his agent Rick Curran on Monday.

Curran was asked how Kaberle was feeling and what his thoughts were now that he knows he will remain a member of the Leafs. He gave me this statement:

"He (Tomas Kaberle) woke up this morning and was pleased to know he wasn’t having to move anywhere. He’s hopeful that now that the deadline has passed everyone will get back to ‘business as usual’ and he can just focus on preparing himself for the season ahead."

Curran also told Yahoo! Sports in an interview that all the drama that Kaberle has been through over the past month would not make a difference regarding how he gets ready for this season.

“Quite frankly, I don’t think Tomas has any challenges,” Curran said. “I mean, it’s not like it just happened. It’s been going on for a while, and Tomas has had to address it physically and emotionally and has all along, and he’s been fine. So he’ll continue to do the same, and he’ll continue to approach the game as he has all along.”

Kaberle has spent his entire 11 year NHL career in Toronto, being named an all-star four times. In 820 games with the Leafs, he has scored 80 goals and 402 assists for 482 points. He has a career plus/minus rating of 27.
