Hello Everyone!
Now that the Stanley Cup Finals is over we can get down to the real fun stuff. Here's some Rumors!
Dion Phaneuf - Leafs are trying to move him, and are getting some calls on him as well. The Sharks, Panthers and Hurricanes are the 3 teams I'm hearing that have interest in him. Keep hearing Eric Staal's name in there for a possible Phaneuf deal. If he's not moved by draft he'll remain a Leaf.
Dan Boyle - Wants to go to a contender. If Penguins can't re-sign Niskanen, they'll pursue Boyle. Red Wings also interested in Boyle.
Vinny Lecavalier - Flyers are trying to move him as he doesn't fit in their future plans. Word on the street is he'd be willing to go to the Florida Panthers.
Andrei Markov - is asking the Canadiens for $18 million over the next 3 years. Looks likely he'll be headed to UFA July 1st. I can see the Red Wings being in the mix for him. Plus he's buddies with Datsyuk.
PA Parenteau - is being shopped in Colorado. Last year the Avs and Canadiens were close to a Parenteau for Bourque Swap. That won't happen now, but wouldn't be surprised to see him to to Montreal.
Evander Kane - the Winnipeg Jets once again are shopping Evander Kane. I can see him going to the Flyers in a deal for Brayden Schenn.
Jason Spezza - wanted out of Ottawa, and Bryan Murray will do his best to fulfill his wishes. Nashville is interested and Mike Fisher would love to play again with his former teammate. Bob McKenzie reported today that the Ducks would also be interested in Spezza.
Ryan Kesler - Speaking of Bob, he also mentioned the Ducks would have interest in Kesler if they don't get Spezza.
Brad Richards - there are rumors out there that the NY Rangers will buyout Richards after another disappointing season. He did not talk to the media today, and is a good sign this will happen.
