Yet Again, Kesler

Just heard this from my top source:

"Chicago is on Keslers list of six teams. Anaheim will overpay but will Chicago? Chances of Kane signing for a team friendly number dramatically increase with the acquisition of Kesler or another bona fide center. There has been continual communication between the two. Again you wil not hear any public comment by the Hawks, but they know they were exposed at center and Kesler has made it known that Chicago would be his preferred destination. Winning cures all."

It was first reported here, right after the Olympics, that Patrick Kane had made known to Hawk management that he wanted them to make a move for Ryan Kesler, and that Kesler might want to be in Chicago.

Now before all the would-be capniks get all buggin' out, bear in mind, there are a lot of ways to skin a cat. Another rumor I hear this afternoon has the Montreal Canadiens (in addition to the Toronto Maple Leafs) also inquiring about Patrick Sharp (he of the $5.8 million AAV contract).

Stay tuned.
