According to an article from the Grand Forks Herald, the Tampa Bay Lightning have hired current University of North Dakota volunteer goalie coach, Karl Goehring.

Goehring has been working with UND for the past six years and was a former AHL goaltender for the Syracuse Crunch. He played with the Crunch from 2001 to 2005, manning the crease for 151 games. He then spent some time playing in Helsinki and for other AHL teams before rejoining Syracuse in 2007.

Before heading to UND, Goehring spent the 2009 AHL season as a goalie coach for the Crunch. Although this hiring has yet to be announced by the Lightning, multiple sources claim the Goehring is being hired to take on the role of goalie coach for Syracuse once again.
