The Tampa Bay Lightning have claimed forward, Gregg McKegg, off waivers from the Florida Panthers.

The 24-year-old McKegg was selected 62nd-overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He has played a career-high 31 games for the Panthers this season, recording three goals and three assists.

In other news, the Bolts recalled Adam Erne and Yanni Gourde from the Syracuse Crunch. Steve Yzerman stated during his press conference today that the call-ups were for insurance so the team has a full roster. This may or may not be because another trade is in the near future.
