In this installment of "Bolts By The Number" we will take a look at the 11 individuals who wore the number two on the back of their sweater for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Let's get this party started...

Stephane Richer

Richer was the first person to sport good old number two for the Bolts back in the 1992-93 season. Unfortunately, there is no much else to say about the guy. He only played three games for the Lightning, recording two shots.

Bob Beers

Besides for having a fantastic name, Beers was also the first "number two" to make any sort of impact for Tampa Bay. In 80 games on the Bolts' blueline, Beers would score 13 goals and add 29 assists. He would play for three other teams in his career, tallying 258 games in the NHL.

Enrico Ciccone

Ciccone actually had a few stints with the Tampa Bay Lightning but only wore the number two in 11 games during the 1993-94 season. In total, Ciccone 135 games for the Bolts, acquiring 14 points.

Bill Houlder

Houlder spent three seasons of his 16-season NHL career on the blueline of the Lightning. In his 154 games with Tampa Bay, Houlder recorded 10 goals and 46 assists. Houlder tallied 250 points in his 846 games with seven different teams.

Mike McBain

McBain was drafted by the Lightning with the 30th overall pick in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Unfortunately, he did not have much of an NHL career, playing in only 64 games over two seasons.

Paul Mara

Paul Mara was taken by the Bolts with the seventh overall pick in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft and had a nice long career. However, he only played in 101 games over a span of three years with the Lightning. Mara also saw time with the Coyotes, Rangers, Canadiens, Ducks, and Bruins.

Stan Neckar

Neckar was traded to Tampa Bay from the Coyotes during the 2000-01 season and played 16 games. He would then be a mainstay on the Bolts blueline for the next two seasons, playing 147 games. In those two full seasons, Neckar was able to obtain 13 points.

Timo Helbling

Helbling was another "number two" that did not experience a very long career in the NHL. He played only nine games during the 2005-06 regular season for the Lightning. He played the next season for the Capitals but only took the ice for two games.

Alexandre Picard

Picard had a decent enough career in the NHL. However, he was not a Bolt for very long at all. He only played 20 games for the Lightning during the 2007-08 season.

Lukas Krajicek

Krajicek played 94 of his 328 NHL games with the Bolts over the span of two seasons. During his time in Tampa, he tallied two goals and 18 assists.

Eric Brewer

Brewer is the last player to rock the number two for the Bolts and is one of the more, if not the most, recognizable name on this list. He played 246 of his 1009 NHL games as a defenseman for Tampa Bay, playing in St. Louis and Edmonton for more (332 and 315). During his time with the Lightning, Brewer tallied ten goals, 46 assists, and added 526 hits.
