John Scott is back at it.

In case you missed it, John Scott took to Instagram to address Phil Kessel and other snubs from the World Cup rosters. In a grainy picture of the two from 2013, Scott presents an offer to Kessel that fans would surely love; that the two create a team comprised of all those who were snubbed of the World Cup roster.

The truth is, there were always be players who don’t make the list. So, it is no surprise that many fans felt that the World Cup rosters left off some players deserving of a spot. However, Kessel’s omission from the roster has been most notable given his current performance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and to me this seemed to be the most obvious one. Enter John Scott.

Given the 7k plus likes and 780 plus comments on his picture, the idea of a All-Snub team is one that many fans may love; it helps validate their frustrations in a lighthearted manner. He has even left it up to the fans to name the team! Additionally, imagine how much fans would love seeing some other players who we felt they should have made the list acknowledge the call from John Scott? John Scott isn’t saying that he should have been on the roster, but he is more so the personification of the fan’s voice. While we may say the same thing in one frustrated tweet, Scott is closer to the NHL meaning that they are more likely to hear and see what is said. His sentiment is one many are feeling (and probably other players would want to say). He stepped up at the All Star game; even saying something many of have wished we could have:

Even if you hate the John Scott story, you can’t help but like that clip just a little bit.

What I love most about watching John Scott’s story is I feel like he is one of the biggest fans of the sport itself; he reminds us of how fun the game can be. He is in a unique position, and I love seeing him take advantage of that in order to speak to (or for) the fans.
