What would your NHL all-star rosters look like?

In reviewing the NHL's all star roster selections, it seemed to me there was definitely some room for improvement. I thought why not post a blog and see what kind of rosters the readers of hockeybuzz.com would create. Remember you have to take the fans' captain and one player from each team. Here are my thoughts on the rosters:

Central Division
NHL roster - Captain PK Subban joined by Duncan Keith and Ryan Suter on defense, Corey Crawford and Devan Dubynk in goal and Patrick Kane, Patrik Laine, Nathan MacKinnon, Tyler Seguin, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Jonathan Toews.

My Roster - Subban, Tyson Barrie, Kevin Shattenkirk, Crawford, Dubynk, Kane, Laine, Seguin, Tarasenko, Artemi Panarin, and Mark Scheifele.

Pacific Division
NHL roster - Captain Connor McDavid joined by Jeff Carter, Johnny Gaudreau, Bo Horvat, Ryan Kesler, and Joe Pavelski at forward, Martin Jones and Mike Smith in goal, and Brent Burns, Drew Doughty, and Cam Fowler on defense.

My roster - McDavid, Carter, Gaudreau, Kesler, Pavelski, and Ryan Getzlaf (gets the nod over Leon Draisaitl due to the game being in Los Angeles), Cam Talbot, Ryan Miller, Burns, Dougie Hamilton, and Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

Metropolitan Division
NHL roster - Captain Sidney Crosby, Taylor Hall, Evgeni Malkin, Alex Ovechkin, Wayne Simmonds, and John Tavares at forward, Braden Holtby and Sergei Bobrovsky in goal, and Justin Faulk, Seth Jones and Ryan McDonagh on defense.

My roster - Crosby, Hall, Malkin, Tavares, Chris Kreider, Jakub Voracek, Holtby, Bobrovsky, Faulk, Zach Werenski and Kris Letang.

Atlantic Division
NHL roster - Captain Carey Price and Tukka Rask in goal, Nikita Kucherov, Brad Marchand, Auston Matthews, Frans Nielsen, Kyle Okposo, and Vincent Trochek at forward, and Victor Hedman, Erik Karlsson, and Shea Weber on defense.

My roster - Price, Roberto Luongo, Kucherov, Marchand, Matthews, James van Riemsdyk, Jack Eichel, and Thomas Vanek (slight nod over Anthony Mantha and Henrik Zetterberg). In my opinion, this division was by far the hardest to balance given the constraints.

How would you construct the rosters?

It’s a great day for hockey.

Fellow Hockeybuzz bloggers Nashville Predator's Paul McCann, Winnipeg Jet's Peter Tessier and Minnesota Wild's Dan Wallace have generously agreed to a friendly charity wager. We were hoping to do the whole division but don't have it fully represented yet. The blogger whose team finishes the highest the standings at the end of the year gets to pick a charity to whom the others donate in their name.
