The Blues put Wade Megan on waivers today before hopefully assigning him to the AHL. Megan was the odd man out after Alexander Steen was actiated off injured reserve. Steen is expected to play in tonight’s game against the Blackhakws.

With Steen back, expect the lines to start like this:

Forwards
Alexander Steen - Paul Stastny - Vladimir Tarasenko
Jaden Schwartz - Brayden Schenn - Sammy Blais
Vladimir Sobotka - Ivan Barbashev - Dmitrij Jaskin
Scottie Upshall - Oskar Sundqvist - Kyle Brodziak

Defense
Carl Gunnarsson - Alex Pietrangelo
Joel Edmundson - Colton Parayko
Vince Dunn - Robert Bortuzzo

Goalie
Jake Allen

Tonight’s game pits the Central Division leading Blackhawks against the 2nd place Blues. A win in regulation will vault the Blues into 1st place. The Hawks are coming off a 2-1 victory over Nashville while the Blues have lost 2 in a row on the road in Florida.

Will Steen being back help the secondary scoring? The Blues sure hope so.

More tomorrow on tonight’s game.

It’s a great day for hockey.

Fellow Hockeybuzz bloggers Nashville Predator's Paul McCann, Winnipeg Jet's Peter Tessier and Minnesota Wild's Dan Wallace have generously agreed to a friendly charity wager. We were hoping to do the whole division but don't have it fully represented yet. The blogger whose team finishes the highest the standings at the end of the year gets to pick a charity to whom the others will donate in their name.
