The abbreviated 2017 version of the Toronto hosted prospects tournament kicked off for the Senators on a good note, and seemingly before it really begins it will be over tonight.

Ottawa was led, as expected, by Thomas Chabot who by all accounts was the best player on the ice and Francis Perron, who each had 3 assists as the Senators rookies dominated the Montreal rookies by a count of 8-2. The Senators got goals from eight different players en route to the win, with 14 player notching at least a point and 6 players having multiple points.

The Senators wrap up the tournament this afternoon, playing the host Maple Leafs, who feature highly touted "steal of the 2017 draft" Timothy Liljegren. Liljegren had an inauspicious debut, finishing -4 in the Leafs' tournament opening 5-2 loss to the Habs. Other notable Leafs on the roster include Mason Marchment, son of former hard hitting NHLer Brad as well as Tobias Lindberg, the former Senators' prospect who was dealt to the Leafs in the Dion Phaneuf trade.

For the second straight game Senators forward Logan Brown will be facing off against a teammate from last year's Memorial Cup winning Windsor Spitfires in forward Jeremy Bracco.

This game will be streamed on NHL.com at 4PM.
