Well this will be the last time you see this edition of the Ottawa Senators, as changes are looming in a number of areas. The Senators will square off in their final game of the season with no dramatics, as those will be reserved for their opposition.

The Bruins don't control their own destiny, but sit in the final wildcard spot and their fate will rest on what happens both concurrently with the Red Wings at Madison Square Garden as well as the Flyers, who begin at 3PM and have a game to play Sunday. The Bruins beat the Wings on Thursday to keep their hopes alive, and a win will put some pressure on the Flyers.

The Sens can't move any higher in the standings, and sit a point up on New Jersey and Colorado in a group that will have somewhere between a 2.5 and 3.5% chance of getting the first overall pick.

So there is not much to be answered for the Senators, except for the personal milestones that are within reach. Most notably Mike Hoffman's run for 30 goals and Erik Karlsson's effort to finish with a point per game.

Mark Stone didn't travel with the team but said he will most likely go to play for Canada at the World Championships. Curtis Lazar didn't practice yesterday and will be a game time decision, as will Marc Methot with the flu. If Lazar can't play Scott Gomez could play what will probably be his last game as a Senator. And not sure there will be a video tribute for him if he ever comes back as a member of an NHL team for his 13 or 14 game stint with the team. The Senators also called up Phil Varone from Binghamton. Varone was acquired from the Sabres in the pre-deadline minor league deal with the Sabres.

Andrew Hammond will start in the Ottawa net.
