Though training camp is not scheduled to open until September 16, the Rangers held another informal on-ice workout today in which 30 players (impressive number) showed up. Obviously, not much can be gleaned from these workouts, but we got a first glimpse of Dubi-Richards-Gabby on a line together and that Dubi reportedly is in phenomenal shape. If that line does stick together, look for Stepan and Anisimov to play with Cally on the second line (though that is not etched in stone). In addition, Hank, as seen in link below on bus tour, is more than ready for the season, one in which he gets to play back home in Sweden
Part of the reason for the large turnout is the team's commemorative 9/11 bus tour. Andrew Gross did an excellent job of summarizing the
tour. A more than worthy cause and endeavor and I will have a blog up on Sunday as to my thoughts on the 10-year anniversary and how I was impacted on that day in general and by the Rangers.
In addition, for some information on a fundraiser in which all of us, if possible, should participate and donate, see
Sam Woo's blog for info on Jake Wisniewski.
The cooler weather in New York today has me thinking hockey and football. On that regard, in case anyone is interested or know anyone that is, I am seeling my Jets-Cowboys seats for Sunday. PM or e-mail me at
[email protected] if interested.
