Crowdsourcing for blog topics in dog days of summer

The Rangers and the NHL are now really in the dog days of summer. Other than the Will Butcher and Alex Kerfoot pursuits along with the pending contract status of Leon Draisaitl and David Pastrnak, not much is ongoing or pending. Yes, there still will be the pursuit of a few unsigned free agents, including Jaromir Jagr, some of who may be signed to a PTO, see Winnik, Daniel, we have hit the lull period of the summer before training camps open.

As such, I now throw the blog to you to see what you might like me to cover. It could be the Rangers best and worst trades. That could be the top-five or 10 of each one, using a poll to crowdsource, as the blog title suggests, or doing a daily countdown. You make the call.

Another option is a short overview of each division, taking a look at what each team has done this offseason and if they are best positioned or not compared to the prior season. If not interested in each division, it could be just the Metro or the Eastern Conference. Report grades per player have been ruled out, and at this stage, they would be old news anyway.

During the lockout a few years ago, I looked at the best Rangers centers, wingers, defensemen and goalies. To me, repeating that doesn't make a lot of sense or add much to the conversation, but happy to revisit those topics again. Before we know it, September and training camp will have arrived. Prior to that, we will have the Kerfoot decision to discuss. But beyond that topic, I throw it to you the reader to provide any topics you would like me to cover.

Looking forward to the responses.
