World Cup:

Team Canada won an unexpected victory last night. Here are the highlights:

Certainly an exciting finish, but I definitely find it hard to get enthused by the teams 247th straight victory.

Overall though, I have few complaints about the World Cup, it was fun for September and when North America was still in, it was awesome. Weird that the medal round was less exciting than the round robin, but still, I liked the tournament, even if I'm a little bored by it at this point.

Getting Old

I don't really think 34 is old, but I recently discovered that I enjoy unflavored carbonated water and jazz music.

Also, Abbey, my 8 year old laughed when I said I was cool. Then again, she believed me when I lied about being in New Kids on the Block when this video was on the TV, so I'm not gonna take it personally.

Tobias Reider

When I read this morning that his agents thinks he should be traded, I was like "that sux girlfriend."

But then I kept reading and it said the two parties are $300 000 apart (in a league with a 72 million dollar salary cap).

What a bunch of fat-cats. Get over yourself Reider and work for a mere $2.2 million like the rest of us.

Yesterday

I called Reider the Coytoes 15th most important player. Let's check the accuracy of that statement:

OEL, Keller, Strome, Duclair, Domi, Chychrun, Hanzel, both goalies, Dvorak, Goligoski, Murphy, Stone, DeAngleo.........Fact Checked.

Today:

Ristolainen wants too much money. So does Panarin.

Also, nearly every proposal I've seen massively underrates Jacob Trouba.

The Coyotes still have 52 players in camp.

Quick Predictions:

(Without Miss Cleo by my side, I doubt any of these will come true, but here goes...)

1. McDavid Wins Scoring Tile.

2. Taylor Hall comes in second.

3. Flyers are a good team; make playoffs.

4. Blackhawks Miss Playoffs.

5. Edmonton wins the West.
