Coyotes el Fuego!!!!!! THREE IN A ROW!!!!!!

Rocked and embarrassed by my investigative journalism that showed the Coyotes were the only NHL team this year not to win consecutive games in regulation time, the team dug deep and came up with a couple of victories.

I don't want to take too much of the credit - 32% is fine.

After the scandalous news broke Monday afternoon, the Coyotes hosted the Avalanche in a game the NHL billed as a 'MUST WATCH EXTREME CAGE FIGHT FOR THE BASEMENT.'

The game had all the intensity of an afternoon spent watching Bob Ross reruns, though with much less second hand smoke.

The Coyotes never-the-less prevailed against the Avalanche and the player formerly known as Matt Duchene by a score of 1-0.

Fittingly, you know, since they're in 29th place and taking until March to do it is kind of embarrassing, the Coyotes did not pile onto the ice in celebration of finally going-back-to-back with the regulation victories. Probably since most of the NHL had already accomplished that before Halloween. (Which, side note, Matt Duchene went out as a hockey player this year, how hilarious is that?)

Hands up if Matt Duchene ruined your hockey pool this year? I can't be the only one bitter here.

Alas, the regulation dominance was short lived, as last night's game went to the overtime.

Still, the Coyotes took the victory over the Kings. If the Kings miss the Playoffs by only one point they are gonna be pissed about this. Louis Domingue made 44 saves to get the Coyotes to the shootout.

Once there, it was crazy - each team took what seemed like 45 shots until finally the Coyotes emerged victorious. For the Kings, that has to suck.

For the Coyotes, that's three wins a row. Or as they call it, an Arizona Stanley Cup. (10:1 Shane Doan celebrates it in a Canadian Tuxedo).

Not too bad.

Anyways, if you need a bonus shot of good news, Max Domi scored twice proving he is in fact, no Matt Duchene.

The end!
