Just kidding. Pretty hilarious if I just left it like that, I think, but the mgmt likes content.
There ain't much of that though.
The Coyotes, like most non-playoff teams, use the first round to become anonymous and lick their wounds. No pun intended, since I guess that is how a Coyotes tend to injuries, what with there being a critical shortage of medically trained Coyotes existing in their natural habitats.
Speaking of actual Coyotes, I saw one cross the road in real life the other day. Get this: I live no where near Phoenix so that guy must have been on quite a journey. Either that or Coyotes are indigenous to a lot of areas. I'll have to check.
Some notes:
- With the Wild being eliminated without making the Conference finals, their draft pick will be in the 17-24 range, and not lower as was likely.
- Hanzal is unlikely to be re-signed, based soley on it being a pretty bad idea, but the Coyotes love to bring back ex-players, so who knows.
- If you think signing college goalies is a big deal, then get ready to party - the Coyotes signed Hunter Miska last week. He's the next Ed Belfour. Or not.
- Get ready for months and months of 'will he or won't he' Shane Doan retirement stories. I plan to pump one out daily all summer......just kidding. It's time to retire, but I don't really care too much here, it feels like the only thing we Coyoters talk about more than this is ownership problems.
- Speaking of which........I am going on a limb here to say no news is good news.
- Yeah, I just gave you a double shot of the Priest. You are welcome.
- Here's one thing that sucks about covering the Coyotes: once baseball starts, it's all Diamondbacks all the time. Hard to find any local coverage that isn't about the D-Bags or the Cardinals.
- Here's a fun fact: the guy in the Howler suit wheres it 24/7 even while he's at home. That's what I'm hearing anyways.
