The Capitals will play the Devils tonight, and I apologize for the absent coverage of the Penguins game on Wednesday.

As you well know, the Capitals lost. Here is the part where I talk about how they didn't deserve to lose and how the Capitals have the worst luck against the Penguins.

To be honest, at least part of the reason I didn't cover the game is because it's kind of hard to do so without talking about some things that were not supposed to talk about no matter how shocked and disgusted we may or may not get.

As is well known, I stay neutral on the topic, and I sit atop of the fence with Sid and the boys. I just follow the well known saying: if you see something, go along with it and don't raise your voice.

Anyways, the Old Caps did have a pretty decent game against the Penguins, allowing zero 5v5 goals and only being scored on on the power-play.

The d pairing of Chorny and Ness was thankfully ended, and Christian Djoos got his first goal and assist. However, Aaron Ness is still terrible and Brooks Orpik is still in the top four, so, you know.

Tonight its Caps vs Devils, and the Devils with Hall, Zacha, Hischier and Henrique have been one of my favorite teams to watch so far this year, so it promises to be a good game, although maybe not one in which the Capitals will win.

The Devils - it seems weird to say - are playing an aggressive, uptempo game similar to the Leafs and fast aggressive teams aren't exactly overmatched by the Capitals slower bottom half of the lineup.

Once again, you just got blogged !
