In what was at least a very entertaining third period, the Coyotes lost to the Jets in the shootout. Normally, it's the kind of loss that makes you feel a little better, but at this point, these points aren't helping anybody.

Not that a late game comeback isn't always cool.

Unfortunately, the loss comes at a price, as Micheal Boedker is now injured and is considered week to week. It's the old upper-body injury, which is all I've been able to ascertain. He left in the third period and I didn't notice him get injured before that - I may have been a bit liberal with the FF button during last night's game - so let me know if you saw the specific play.

The loss of Boedker will hurt the team's already thin Playoff chances.

Just kidding, if anything it will help the team draft higher, so as long as it's not a long-term thing, no worries here.

Also of note, Shane Doan returned to the lineup last night and had two points.

The real star of last night's game though, was this intermission piece on what are apparently strange Canadian foods:




Now, maybe it's just my unique situation as a Canadian who covers for the Arizona Coyotes and has never visited the United States, but this bit really blew my mind.

In it, Americans Keith Yandle and a young Ron Howard try a sampling of Canadian snacks which are ostensibly not available in the greater Phoenix area.

I had no idea that Ketchup or All-Dressed chips were not standard chip flavors world-wide. Well, my cousin once brought me back some snacks from a vending machine in South Korea, so mabey not world-wide , but I assumed at least in countries where you can't buy squid tentacles in a vending machine.

I guess I never really thought about it but I if I had of, I would have just assumed that the standard chip flavors were: Plain,Ketchup, Dill Pickle, Salt and Vinegar, BBQ, All Dressed and Doritos.

And Coffee Crisp? I am not a guy who usually even eats chocolate bars, but Coffee Crisp is the only one I would actually pay money for. It is delicious. I can't believe it is not widely available. I always just assumed it was as popular as Snickers.

As for the other food they mentioned, the Turkish Delight, well, they were right to call that garbage but I still am surprised it isn't available everywhere - it's not like it's chocolate coated beaver flesh, which, is obviously a regional delicacy.

Of further note, but probably only of interest to me, is that yesterday I watched the Chronicles of Narnia for the first time (never even read the book) in the afternoon before the game. The fact Murphy references the movie in relation to the chocolate bar is a completely meaningless coincidence, but wierd none-the-less.

This whole thing has got me wondering what else we have that you guys don't and what kind of delicious treats you have we don't know about.

My mind, it is blown.
