In this edition of the hotstove, we share our picks for the least entertaining team to watch this season.

Todd Cordell

The Buffalo Sabres.

I love Jack Eichel but he's pretty much the only reason to ever consider tuning into their games. The Sabres generate fewer shot attempts and chances than every team in the league at 5v5 and they play at a very slow pace. I don't blame them for doing that – they don't have the talent to come out on top if they trade chances – but it makes for some pretty dull games. Even Eichel agrees.

Honorable mention goes to Vancouver. With Brock Boeser out, they're borderline unwatchable.

Peter Tessier

Vancouver used to be known as the most laidback back city in Canada, maybe North America but this season the Canucks have taken that reputation to new levels. It’s not that they are boring but it’s that they aren’t even trying to be good.

Fans used to get a laugh out of the front office and ownership but even that barely makes the needle move on the scale of entertainment. The team that has two of the most watchable players in the Sedins is but a shadow of it’s former self. Fans came for magic, settled for a tire fire as entertainment and now are simply burnt out of that. It’s for good reason the Canucks are like watching paint dry.
